Support at Work: Navigating Grief in Our Workplaces

Monday, October 16 | 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM | FREE Webinar

Presented by: Alexa Livelsberger, LCSW, Outreach & Education Coordinator, Highmark Caring Place

Offered in Partnership with: Highmark & Highmark Caring Place, Proud In-Flight Entertainment Sponsor of the 2023 Collaborative Conference

Grief and loss impact our daily lives, both in and out of the workplace. Yet, we may have less comfort expressing our grief or seeking support at work, despite the many hours we spend there.

This webinar will help you identify experiences of grief and loss and their impact on your work. Together, we’ll explore ways to care for ourselves, our colleagues, and influence organizational culture around grief and loss in professional spaces.

Our objectives for this time together include:

  • Identifying a range of experiences in and out of the workplace as grief and loss.
  • Describing the ways that grief and loss impact employees and organizations.
  • Exploring ways to create a grief-informed culture in the workplace.

This workshop is being offered free of charge by our friends at Highmark & Highmark Caring Place, proud sponsors of the 2023 Collaborative Conference. You do not need to have attended the conference in order to attend this workshop, but we invite you to learn more about Landing the Plane (Without Wrecking It) here.

About the 2023 Collaborative Conference:

We did it! For the first time since 2019, we learned together, laughed together, dined together, and probably whined together, too (hey, a little venting among friends is healthy!) – in person AND online at the 2023 Collaborative Conference.

With our theme of Landing the Plane (Without Wrecking It), we took an honest look at where we’ve all been these last few years, where we’re going, and how to get there as safely as possible…or at least not completely crash and burn along the way! Check out more about this year’s keynotes, workshops, and other activities at www.collaborativeconference.org and learn about this year’s sponsors here – including companies like First Nonprofit, who have products, services, and tools available to facilitate a smooth landing for all the planes your organization has in the air.
