Passing the Baton: Succession Planning for Long-Term Sustainability
Friday, December 8 | 8:30 AM-12:00 PM | Butler

Offered in Partnership with: Alliance for Nonprofit Resources (ANR)

Featuring as Speakers: Debra Thompson, President & CEO, and Jacqui Catrabone, Director of Nonprofit & Community Services, Strategy Solutions, Inc.

Sponsored by: Commonwealth Consulting Partners | Maher Duessel | My Benefit Advisor | Strategy Solutions, Inc.

Whether the pandemic has fast-tracked a retirement that’s been a long time coming or The Great Reprioritization has turned your leadership roster into a game of musical chairs, many nonprofits are no stranger to the “new hire shuffle” these days. When the only thing we can count on is change, how can we prepare our organizations for a smooth transition from one leader to the next, be it staff or board? What does it take to put a solid succession plan in place so that the passing of the baton happens (relatively) seamlessly? How can we keep the momentum going when leadership changes hands – either suddenly or with plenty of notice?

This half-day program, hosted in partnership by ANR and PANO, is your chance to ask these questions and more, learning not only from leaders in the field but also from each other. This event will bring together nonprofit professionals in southwest PA to connect, learn, and support each other in preparing for the inevitable – those leadership changes we’ve all experienced, will experience, or are right smack in the middle of! Our time together will include:

  • Breakfast
  • Networking
  • A workshop facilitated by nonprofit consultants Debbie Thompson & Jacqui Catrabone of Erie-based Strategy Solutions, Inc.
  • Small and large group discussion

Join us for this hands-on learning opportunity to ensure the long-term sustainability of your organization!
