Your organization is looking to raise major capital funds. Where do you begin? Before you rush to put on your fundraising hat, are you sure your organization is ready? Taking time to plan can save you from fundraising disasters down the road!
In this interactive session, consultant Trina Walker and former Library Director Roberta Greene will cover the key building blocks to have in place before launching a capital campaign.
Trina and Roberta will share their campaign experience and a 10-step assessment tool to help you measure your readiness to proceed. Come prepared to engage in lively discussion, questions, and answers.
This session is appropriate for board members, executive directors, and fund development staff and volunteers.

About the Facilitators:
Trina Walker, TLW Strategy Trina Walker is the Founder and Lead Consultant for TLW Strategy, a Pittsburgh-area consultancy designed to help purpose-driven organizations succeed. Trina has 25 years of experience in nonprofit leadership including roles in marketing, communications, fundraising, staff development, strategy, and implementation. As an employee, Trina led the communications strategies and messaging for Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh’s $55 million capital campaign, all annual campaigns, and a major gifts campaign. As a consultant, she served as project coordinator and content creator for the Public Library of Union County’s $1.75 million capital campaign. Trina’s purpose is to be a positive force for betterment for you and your organization.
Roberta Greene, Public Library for Union County & Union County Library System (former Director/System Administrator) Roberta Greene most recently served as Director of the Public Library for Union County and System Administrator of the Union County Library System in Lewisburg, PA. She has more than three decades of experience in nonprofit administration. Greene oversaw fundraising initiatives for Girls Scouts in the Heart of Pennsylvania as Vice President of Advancement; served as Director of the Guthrie Memorial Library in Hanover, PA and the Cleve J. Fredericksen Library in Camp Hill, PA where she coordinated a $6.4 million capital campaign for its construction. She is drawn to educational organizations and experiences that have a positive impact on individuals and communities. |
