About the Facilitator:
Stephanie Cory, Principal, Stephanie Cory Consulting Stephanie has dedicated her career to the nonprofit sector since 2003. She has served as an executive director as well as held development and program management roles for a variety of health and human services organizations. Stephanie has also consulted for more than 80 organizations helping them build capacity by strengthening governance, recruiting talent, and growing fundraising.
Recognized for her excellence in teaching and facilitation, Stephanie was named a Certified Facilitator by the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). Demonstrating her commitment to professional development and model practices, Stephanie is a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy (CAP®), a Certified Fundraising Executive (CFRE), BoardSource Certified Governance Consultant, and Standards for Excellence Licensed Consultant.
Stephanie has more than 30 years’ cumulative experience as a board member for organizations ranging from grassroots with no staff to a multi-million-dollar international association. She authored a chapter on boards and fundraising for the second edition of The Handbook of Board Governance published in 2020 and the third edition published in 2024.
