Developing Federal Hot Topics (including IRS Form 990 Transparency Initiative!): How to Prepare in an Uncertain Environment

Uncertainty abounds for nonprofits, between:

• proposed changes to the federal certification requirements for federal grants and contracts;
• significant amendments to the Uniform Guidance governing federal agencies and their grant recipients; and
• proposed revisions  to IRS Form 990 focused on federal grants and contracts and fiscal sponsor arrangements.

These proposed updates confirm the current administration’s focus on transparency and visibility when it comes to federal grant funds/other charitable dollars – with a particular emphasis on the administration’s priorities related to DEI, immigration, and “domestic terrorism.” There will be a tight timeline for complying with the contract certifications and changes to the Uniform Guidance, and an announcement of specific Form 990 revisions is expected shortly.

• Discuss the status of both confirmed and proposed changes to federal contract certification and the Uniform Guidance.

• Review proposed revisions to IRS Form 990, including how these revisions may impact organization reporting and outside scrutiny of this form.
• Look at how nonprofits can mitigate risk, maintain public trust, and meet evolving regulatory expectations.

Terms of Participation
If you have 4-10 individuals interested in viewing the webinar, please have one person register selecting the group ticket. You can then enter the names and email addresses of up to 9 other individuals to add to your group ticket.

RECORDING
