The purpose of the NSGP program is to provide funding to eligible nonprofits to implement physical security enhancements, training, and planning to increase the safety and security of the users of a facility located in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania that is owned or operated by a nonprofit organization. Shendelle Hockenberry, PEMA’s Grant Programs Manager, will provide an overview of potential projects and eligibility requirements. In addition to the NSGP program, the state still has billions available in unspent ARPA funding; counties and municipalities also have billions of unspent ARPA dollars. David L. Thompson, NCN’s VP of Public Policy, and Jessica Mendieta, Policy Associate at NCN, will provide an overview of the State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds program and answer questions about helpful U.S. Treasury regulations on ARPA, providing examples of how nonprofits around the country are accessing these dollars. |
